LAGOS, Nigeria – June 2017 – The world business organisation, International Chambers of Commerce (Nigeria) on 15th June 2017 admitted the law firm of Kusamotu & Kusamotu as one of its new members. The firm was formally admitted and introduced to other members at the 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the ICC Nigeria held at the Metropolitan Club, Victoria Island, Lagos.
While welcoming the new members at the AGM, Mr Babatunde Savage, Chairman of ICC Nigeria, stated that “We will continue to explore opportunities and partnerships, to demonstrate our continued commitment to offer international best services to our members. We are committed to a strategy of growth and value creation”. He stressed further that: “we shall continue to count on your collaborations, encouragement, constructive criticisms, and prayer, to be able to steer the ship of our Chamber to the safe harbor of sustainable growth. While we recognise that we are operating in a very challenging period, we are positively looking into the future, which we believe is bright. I deeply urge all of us to collectively work together to position our Chamber amongst the great Business Management Organizations of our time.”
The event ended with a Post AGM Round Table Talk on Trade Facilitation. The Guest Speaker was Col. Hamed Ibrahim Ali (Rtd.), Comptroller General, Nigeria Customs Services who noted that the challenges of 21st Century, are placing massive demands for modernisation on Customs Administration and most importantly, collaboration with relevant stakeholders, both locally and internationally.
